Sony A7 V launched in the Philippines

Sony’s flagship mirrorless camera, the Sony A7 V, is now official and has arrived in the Philippines right in time for Christmas. The Sony A7 V is great for both photos and videos, featuring the same 33-megapixel Exmor RS CMOS sensor as before, but now with a partially stacked design. This allows for a full-time electronic shutter so you can shoot quietly and blackout-free with 30fps continuous bursts. It comes with a fast BIONZ XR2 image processor that has an integrated AI chip. Apart from improved image and video recording and stable color reproduction, it offers AI-backed real-time recognition and subject tracking. The sensor is attached to a 5-axis optical image stabilizer. Plus, it has a lightweight RAW format that churns out smaller files for easier management. nubia Fold: 8-inch foldable display, Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU, 6560mAh battery

nubia finally has a book-style foldable phone, the nubia Fold.

The nubia Fold features a large 8-inch foldable OLED screen with a decent 2480 x 2200 pixel resolution and a high 120Hz refresh rate. It then has a 6.43-inch OLED cover display with similar features but a sharper resolution for its size.

It has a flagship processor, of course, albeit dated. It uses last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It still runs on Android 15, too.

What’s impressive is the large 6,560mAh battery paired with a decent 55W charging.

Each display has its own 20-megapixel selfie camera. On the back, there are two 50-megapixel cameras for the main and ultra-wide lenses, joined by a 5-megapixel macro lens. No telephoto.

Durability features are not much, but at least you get an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.

The nubia Fold is now listed in Y!mobile telecom from Japan. It retails for JPY178,560 (~Php67,400).

HONOR X9c Smart: Dimensity 7025 Ultra CPU, 6.8″ 120Hz display, 5800mAh battery

HONOR has released a new smartphone with a name we haven’t heard from them before, the HONOR X9c Smart. The HONOR X9c Smart is powered by a new MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra processor, albeit not many details are available on this chip.
