HMD follows up the Touch 4G with a new hybrid phone, the XploraOne by HMD.
The XploraOne by HMD was co-developed by Xplora, a Norwegian smartwatch company for kids. That said, this hybrid phone — which adds a couple of smartphone features to a feature phone — is aimed towards children.

While a detailed specs list and pricing are yet to be known, the XploreOne will inherit the same concept as the Touch 4G, but with special features made for kids.
It has a very small screen, thick bezels, a single camera on the back with LED flash, a home button in the front, an extra physical button, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

It was designed to be extra compact so it fits securely in a child’s pocket.
Plus, it has family-centric features like a location tracker, messaging, calls, and pre-approved contacts. Since it’s still a feature phone, it lacks internet connectivity and social media, which was a conscious decision to keep kids safe.
More details about the HMD XploraOne shall be announced soon.
