Acer is at IFA 2026 in Berlin and unveiled tons of new hardware, including the Acer Aspire S 27 and Aspire S 24 AIO (all-in-one) computers. The Acer Aspire S 27 can be had with either a QHD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, or a FHD resolution with a higher 144Hz refresh rate. The S24 is available in a single IPS panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. They can be powered by up to an Intel Core 7 350 processor, with up to 16GB single-channel RAM, and up to a 1TB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 SSD. They run on Windows 11 Home, have a 2-megapixel webcam with privacy shutter, a plethora of ports, modern WiFi 6E connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3, and a 65W AC adapter. The Philippine delegation delivered impressive performance during its participation in the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI). Held last August in Astana, Kazakhstan, the competition saw the four-member Filipino team secure medals in every category, bringing home one silver and three bronze awards. They competed against a massive field of 466 high school students representing 108 different countries and territories. The silver medal was earned by Theo Lorenzo T. Bustamante from the Philippine Science High School–CALABARZON Region Campus, who managed to rank 80th overall. The bronze medals were claimed by three other students: Ellison Matthew S. Ang of Philippine Science High School–Main Campus, Jhareign S. Solidum of University of Mindanao Ilang High School), and Juan Mateo J. Desuasido of Brent International School Manila.
