HONOR 400 Smart: Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor, 120Hz HD+ display, 6500mAh battery

The HONOR 400 Smart have been spotted at an online retailer in Spain before any official announcement from HONOR. Far from the design of the HONOR 400 and 400 Pro , the HONOR 400 Smart has a squarish camera island akin to the HONOR X series. It holds two usable shooters: a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. We then have a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front, peeking from a punch-hole cutout on top of the 6.77-inch HD+ IPS screen with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It ships with Android 15-based MagicOS UI 9.0. Keeping the lights on is a large 6,500mAh battery with 35W fast charging. Pricing and availability details for the HONOR 400 Smart are yet to be announced. Globe Prepaid eSIM is finally available

Globe-Prepaid-eSIM

At long last, Globe has finally released its Prepaid eSIM.

The Globe Prepaid eSIM launched about 8 months after they first teased the service in August 2023, around 5 months since a prepaid eSIM was offered exclusively to travelers, and about 6 years since they offered eSIMs for postpaid users.

If you own modern iPhones and other compatible devices and want to have a Globe eSIM installed on your phone without being tied to a postpaid plan, you can now do so by purchasing one on the GlobeOne app.

The Globe Prepaid eSIM has a price of Php99 and comes with a free 5GB of data and unlimited texts to all networks valid for three days after registration. Sadly, no free calls.

To purchase, simply open the GlobeOne app > tap Life Essentials > and under Get a Globe Connection, tap Prepaid eSIM. Key in your email address, where the QR code and installation instructions will be sent.

Settle the payment via GCash or credit/debit card and you’re done.

It’s worth noting that the app will automatically check if your device is eSIM compatible. Pretty neat.

Sadly, Globe still doesn’t give the option to convert your physical SIM to an eSIM so you can keep the same number. To do that, you have to subscribe to a postpaid service.

HONOR X9c Smart: Dimensity 7025 Ultra CPU, 6.8″ 120Hz display, 5800mAh battery

HONOR has released a new smartphone with a name we haven’t heard from them before, the HONOR X9c Smart. The HONOR X9c Smart is powered by a new MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra processor, albeit not many details are available on this chip. What we know is that it has the same 2.5GHz clock speed and IMG BXM-8-256 GPU as the non-Ultra chip. As for the design, it has the same ring camera layout on the back as the X9b and X9a and comes in Ocean Cyan and Moonlight White colorways. HONOR also brags how it is only 7.8mm thick and only weighs 193g. It also received an SGS 5-star comprehensive reliability rating for having a 2-meter drop resistance. It’s not clear if it received an official ingress protection rating, but HONOR claims it’s waterproof and will work even with greasy hands. The camera island holds a sharp 108-megapixel main camera but only a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens. A 16-megapixel selfie camera is on the front, on top of the large 6.8-inch FHD+ display. There’s a ...
