The biggest battery in the Y Series

An incredible powerhouse, the vivo Y29 has the biggest battery ever in the Y Series. It boasts an enormous 6,500mAh BlueVolt battery to provide all-day power with no compromise.

Despite the battery’s size, vivo was still able to achieve a slim and sleek profile with the Y29 measuring at just 8.09mm. It’s incredibly comfortable to hold and carry around.

Engineered to last, the battery was designed to retain up to 80% of its capacity even after five years, providing users extra peace of mind and value for money.

When you inevitably have to recharge, the 44W FlashCharge technology from vivo can provide a 50% charge in just 41 minutes to ensure you’re always ready to go.

Tough and durable on the outside

Not only powerful, the vivo Y29 was also built to be tough. It has a Comprehensive Cushioning Structure that reinforces the internal components, thus further improving shock absorption.

The front is protected by SCHOTT Shield Glass that improves drop resistance by 64% compared to standard glass and has even passed 2,500 scratch-resistance tests, a testament to how well it can survive daily wear and tear.

vivo went above and beyond and even thoughtfully designed the protective case, which features an airbag structure that enhances drop resistance on all four sides. What’s more, the Y29 even earned both SGS Five-Star Drop Resistance and Military Grade Certification.

For even better resiliency, the Y29 stays protected from dust, splashes, and accidental liquid spills, as assured by its IP64 certification — perfect for unpredictable, carefree, on-the-go lifestyles.

Smooth, immersive, and reliable performance

The vivo Y29 provides a truly immersive and lively entertainment experience. It is rigged with dual stereo speakers, which can be amplified by up to 400%, so you can still enjoy music, videos, and games in loud environments.

vivo improved the receiver volume by 200% to ensure clearer audio during voice calls, especially in noisy rooms and public places.

Another highlight here is the display, which features a high 120Hz refresh rate for incredibly smooth scrolling and gameplay. It also has up to 1000 nits of peak brightness, so it stays vivid and clear even under direct sunlight. The TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification reduces eye strain during extensive usage.

Powering all this is the efficient 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor, designed to deliver fast and responsive performance while maximizing battery life.

With the vivo Y29, style meets function with its two elegant colors: Marble White, which offers a clean and modern aesthetic, and Espresso Brown, which delivers a bold and premium look.

Apple puts Vision Pro update on hold to speed up development of AI smart glasses

Apple has reportedly decided to delay plans for a major update to its high-end Vision Pro headset. Instead, the company is allegedly moving its focus to creating a new line of AI-powered smart glasses that would compete directly with products from Meta. This new rumor comes from a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman . Although Apple had been developing a more affordable and lighter version of the Vision Pro, it is now reassigning staff from that project to work on the new smart glasses initiative. According to the report, Apple is developing at least two different types of smart glasses. The first model, known internally as the N50, is designed to work with an iPhone and will not have its own built-in display. Apple’s current plan is to announce these glasses as early as next year, with a full release to the public scheduled for 2027. The second model is a more advanced version that will include its own display. This product would put Apple in direct competition with the recently a...

Framework Laptop 16 with RTX 5070 unveiled

Framework, a company that became prominent with its repairable and sustainable PCs, has released a refresh to one of its most popular products, the Framework Laptop 16. Just like its cousins, the Framework Laptop 16 has replaceable components like the CPU, WiFi, battery, and more, so you can easily upgrade only what you need for futureproofing. But there’s one component that the whole laptop industry has been struggling to make sustainable: the GPU. Now, Framework has apparently fixed that as the new Laptop 16 gets an RTX 5070 graphics module upgrade. Its predecessor has a Radeon RX 7700S, making this new one a substantial upgrade, with Framework estimating a 30 to 40 percent increase in GPU performance. With this upgrade, Framework is also including a beefier 240W USB-C charger with Power Delivery 3.1. Another interesting feat, as other 240W power adapters use a proprietary cable and not USB-C. It is also now more expensive. The new Framework 16 now has a starting pri...
