Google Pixel 10a: Tensor G4 CPU, 5,100mAh battery, 30W charging

Google has unveiled the entry-level Pixel 10a, with very little upgrades over its predecessor. The new Pixel 10a looks the same as before and also uses almost the same exact hardware. This new model is the first in the a-series to use recycled materials, has 100% recycled aluminum frame, and comes in an entirely plastic-free packaging. It also gains emergency satellite messaging, will ship with the latest Android 16 software, has a tougher Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, and has a slightly brighter 3,000-nit display. Google also redesigned the internals so it’s easier to repair. Plus, it now has a faster 30W charger. Other than that, everything else is the same. We still have a Tensor G4 processor, same RAM and storage options, 5,100mAh battery, and cameras. The Google Pixel 10a 8GB/128GB retails for USD499 (~Php29,000) and USD599 (~Php34,800) for the 8GB/256GB in the US. Apple is reportedly working on 3 new AI-powered wearables

Apple-467278

Apple is accelerating its efforts to break into the world of wearable artificial intelligence, reportedly speeding up development on three new devices designed to keep the company competitive in a rapidly heating market.

According to a new report, the tech giant is pushing forward with plans for AI-powered smart glasses, a wearable camera pin, and a new version of AirPods packed with advanced AI capabilities. The news comes just weeks after a report from The Information suggested the company was exploring an AirTag-sized camera device that could be pinned to a user’s clothing.

The smart glasses, which have been code-named N50, are said to be the most ambitious of the three. Unlike basic audio glasses, these will reportedly include a high-resolution camera. Apple is targeting the start of production for the glasses as early as December, with a public release likely following in 2027, according to the report. The device will face stiff competition from rivals like Meta, which has found success with its camera-enabled glasses, and Snap, which plans to launch its next-generation “Specs” later this year.

The camera pin, described as being roughly the size of an AirTag, would clip onto a user’s shirt and offer a hands-free way to interact with the environment. The third device in the pipeline involves AirPods that would receive a significant AI upgrade, adding new intelligent features to the popular earbuds.

All three devices are being designed to work in close connection with the iPhone and will rely heavily on Siri, Apple’s virtual assistant, to drive the user experience.
