Apple began rolling out iOS 26.3 to iPhone users. The update introduces a new feature that helps customers move their data to Android devices.
The software follows one round of beta testing that took place over the holidays. While last year’s iOS 26.2 was packed with new capabilities, this version is more focused. Apple usually holds major updates for its fall releases and fills in smaller changes later.
A new option called Transfer to Android now lives inside the Settings app. When tapped, it prompts users to hold their iPhone next to an Android phone. The two devices then connect and begin moving data. Contacts, photos, messages, apps, and phone numbers can all be transferred.

Apple warns that health information, Bluetooth accessories, and protected files will not move. Only some items make the jump.
The move builds on ongoing talks between Apple and Google to reduce barriers for people switching platforms.
Some beta users spotted a setting that would let third party smart watches receive iPhone notifications. The option showed up in early test versions but did not make today’s release.
When it eventually ships, the feature will live inside Notification settings. Users would be able to pair one non-Apple wearable at a time. Apple Watch notifications would stop working while the feature is on.
Lastly, People who own iPhones with C1 or C1X modems gain a privacy upgrade in this release. The update limits how much location data carriers can see. Only a handful of wireless providers support the feature right now, but Apple expects more to join later.
