ASUS has new desktop PCs in the Philippines. There are four of them, and for this one, we’ll be focusing on the gaming machines: the ASUS TUF Gaming TM500 and ROG GM700. They came out alongside the ASUS V600 and V500 . Let’s first look at the ASUS TUF Gaming TM500 , which has an AMD Ryzen 7 260 processor, up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 GPU, 16GB SODIMM memory, and up to 1TB SSD. It is paired with a custom heatsink with a large 1,218cm2 dissipation area, copper pipes, and a 90mm fan offering 45W of total cooling capacity. New Xbox is coming by 2027, AMD CEO hints

A future Xbox console is currently on track for a 2027 release, according to a statement from AMD’s top executive.

During the semiconductor company’s most recent earnings call, AMD CEO Lisa Su provided an update on several gaming partnerships. She noted that Valve’s Steam Machine, powered by AMD hardware, is on schedule to ship early this year. Regarding Microsoft, Su stated that development of a new Xbox using a semi-custom AMD system-on-a-chip (SOC) is progressing well to support a potential launch by 2027.

While this does not guarantee a 2027 release, it reveals that date is Microsoft’s current target for its next-generation console.

This timeline follows the multi-year partnership between Microsoft and AMD that Xbox President Sarah Bond announced in mid-2025. At that time, Bond said the companies would “co-engineer silicon” for devices in the living room and consumer hands, strongly hinting at work on future home and handheld consoles. She also emphasized Microsoft’s focus on integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning into upcoming Xbox games.

Previous plans for the next Xbox were partly revealed through documents leaked during the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) legal battle with Microsoft in 2023. Those files described a “hybrid game platform” that blends local hardware with cloud computing. The leaked roadmap at that time pointed to a possible 2028 release.

The shift to a potential 2027 launch could indicate Microsoft has accelerated its plans. The current generation of consoles, the Xbox Series X and S, launched in 2020 and has reportedly not matched the sales of the prior Xbox One generation, which may be a factor in the company’s strategy.
