Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus: Exynos 2600 CPU, 6.7″ QHD+ LTPO, 4,900mAh battery

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S26 Plus, and it barely has any upgrades over its predecessor. All the headlining upgrades are on the Galaxy 26 Ultra . The Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus still has a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO display with a 1-120Hz refresh rate. It also inherited its predecessor’s 4,900mAh battery. Wired charging is, sadly, still at 45W, but the wireless charging is now slightly faster at 20W. Most markets, including the Philippines, will get the variant with an Exynos 2600 processor. A lucky few countries will get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 model. Even the cameras are the same. We still have a 50-megapixel main shooter with optical image stabilization, a 10-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide. It also gained a plethora of AI features, including Now Brief, powered by the Personal Data Engine, which automatically gives you reminders and sets calendar appointments from your notifications, messages, emails, etc. Call Screening is also here. ...

Samsung’s best smartphone to date is here. Check out the new Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, the bigger brother of the Galaxy S26 and S26+.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, while the other two use an Exynos 2600. Compared to its predecessor, Samsung claims it has 19% better CPU performance, 39% boost in NPU, and has 24% faster GPU.

It also has a redesigned Vapor Chamber cooling and, finally, 60W charging, a much-needed and long-overdue upgrade.

There are also Samsung-only features embedded in the processor. There’s the ProScaler that improves photo and video quality, and the mobile Digital Natural Image engine (mDNIe) that “delivers more subtle and lifelike colors”.

The Ultra also gets Enhanced Nightography Video, and upgraded Super Steady APV and Photo Assist.

Of course, the S Pen is still here for those who actually use it.

Samsung is highlighting the new Privacy Display of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Unlike those privacy screen protectors, the screen visibility is only limited when enabled. It also has a Partial Screen Privacy function for things like notification pop-ups. Pretty cool.

Going back to the hardware, the Galaxy S26 Ultra boasts a large 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, with a 1-120Hz refresh rate. Sadly, it still comes with a 5,000mAh battery.
