vivo Y05: UNISOC T7225 CPU, 6,500mAh battery, HD+ 120Hz refresh rate

vivo-Y05

One of vivo’s popular entry-level phones just got a refresh for 2026. This is the all-new vivo Y05.

The vivo Y05 has a slightly refreshing design thanks to its iPhone 17-like camera island. However, the camera has been oddly downgraded to a single 8-megapixel shooter, while Y04 enjoys a sharper 13-megapixel camera.

vivo-Y05-Specs-Features

Sadly, it uses the same UNISOC T7225 processor as before, with 4GB of RAM, and an option between 64GB and 128GB of storage.

On the upside, it has a much bigger 6,500mAh battery, compared to its predecessor’s 5,500mAh. The wired charging is the same at 15W, but you now get the reverse wired charging feature to help you power other devices.

The display is identical as it uses a 6.74-inch IPS panel with an HD+ resolution, but now refreshes at 120Hz and has a peak brightness of 1200 nits.

Since it came out in 2026, it ships with the latest Android 16-based OriginOS 6. It is also IP65 dust and splash resistant and is MIL-STD-810H compliant.

Now, let’s look at the next two digits. What does the first digit mean? The first digit after IP indicates solid particle protection, including dust, wires, or body parts. It will range from ...
