HONOR Robot Phone showcased at MWC 2026, more details revealed

HONOR has shared more details about its highly talked-about concept phone, the HONOR Robot Phone. During its MWC 2026 presentation, the company claimed that they have developed an extra durable and light micro motor for the HONOR Robot Phone . The concept device is made of 2800Mpa high-performance materials and 0.001 enhanced simulation accuracy for the motor. HONOR claims it was able to trim 70% of the size of a mainstream motor. It also has the smallest 4DoF gimbal system with an embodied motion control. It also pioneers the use of a smartphone 3-axis gimbal camera. What’s even more interesting is that HONOR teamed up with ARRI, a prominent German manufacturer of film cameras, to use its cinematic photography technology in the concept phone. Xiaomi 17 goes global

Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi 17 series in the global market. For now, let’s focus on the vanilla Xiaomi 17.

The Xiaomi 17 Global variant is essentially the same as the Chinese model that already came out in September last year. Only this time, the 7,000mAh battery was downgraded to a 6,330mAh.

Everything else is the same. It still has a compact 6.3-inch 2.5K LTPO AMOLED screen with a 3500-nit peak brightness and 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 processor, with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

We then have four 50-megapixel cameras, led by the Light Hunter 950 main sensor and a periscope lens.

It ships with Android 16-based HyperOS 3 with extended software support: 5 OS upgrades and 6 years of security patches.
