vivo V80 launched in the Philippines

vivo Philippines has launched its latest flagship phone, the vivo V80. For a quick recap, the vivo V80 boasts a really interesting design that uses 3D laser holographic lithography on glass that shows a trail of stars from the galaxy. The stars only appear at certain angles, which makes it look like they are shining. That’s for the Starwish Purple. A cleaner Wander Green option is also available. Like most vivo flagships, the V80 has ZEISS-powered camera systems. There’s the 50-megapixel main camera that uses an LYTIA 700V sensor with CIPA 4.5 optical image stabilization. There’s also a 50-megapixel IMX882 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 50-megapixel 92-degree selfie camera with autofocus. Instagram Plus subscription now in the Philippines for Php65/month

Meta is testing a new paid subscription tier for Instagram called Instagram Plus, and the Philippines is one of the first markets where users can try it out.

The monthly fee is set at Php65, and Meta is offering a one-month free trial to get people started.

Instagram Plus unlocks several features that are not available on the standard free version. Subscribers will be able to see who viewed their stories and track how many times each story has been rewatched. They can also create multiple story audiences, view other people’s stories without leaving a trace, and send “Super Hearts” to stories.

Another perk includes extending a story’s visibility beyond the usual 24-hour limit. Users will also get the option to boost their own stories for more reach.

Meta has not announced a global launch date yet. But the test in the Philippines suggests the company is serious about turning Instagram into a mixed free and paid platform, similar to what other social media apps have started doing.
