The company just announced a few changes to make it easier and cheaper for people to get online. If you sign up for a new fiber plan that costs Php1299 or more per month, you will get faster internet for the first 6 months of your subscription. With the 2x speed bump, you get to have 200Mbps speed instead of only 100Mbps for the cheapest plan.

If you already have an internet subscription with another provider and want to switch to PLDT, you will get a special modem for free for 6 months. This modem can switch to a mobile data connection if the fiber line goes down. That way, you stay online even during outages.

For people who do not want a long term contract, PLDT Home has improved its prepaid fiber service too. You can now buy load packages with speeds of 100Mbps or 300Mbps, with validity ranging from 1 day all the way up to 1 full year.
