The Sony RX10 V has finally been made official.
A big feature of the Sony RX10 V is its long 24-600mm optical zoom telephoto lens. It’s a 9.1-210mm lens with an f/2.4-f/4.0 aperture. It then sits behind a 20.1-megapixel 1-inch stacked sensor, which is the same one as before.

Another new feature here is the more capable BIONZ XR2 processor, which has better burst speeds of 30fps with no blackout under the electronic shutter mode. The Continuous Shooting Speed Boost, present on the fancier mirrorless cameras, was also included here.
It also has an improved autofocus, which is now AI-backed, similar to the new A7 V. It can recognize humans, animals and even face, eye, head, and body of humans and animals. It also knows vehicles and insects.

This advanced AI autofocus is made possible by a dedicated AI processor, which has the ability to keep tracking subjects even if they move away from the frame. The AF points have been increased to 575.
The video recording was also upgraded and can now do 4K/60fps 10-bit video under All-Intra, XAVC S, and XAVC HS formats. It can also do slow-mo videos at 4K/120fps and 1080p/240fps. S-Log3 is also supported.
It also has a sleeker design with a larger grip and is complete with controls like three control dials, a joystick, a control wheel, and a new dual top dial. There’s also an AF-On button.
There’s an electronic viewfinder (EVF) with 3.69 million dots, a tilting display, support for full-size NP-FZ100 batteries, UHD-II SD cards, a micro HDMI port, 3.5mm mic and headphone port, USB-C, and support for 4K/30fps live streaming.

The Sony RX10 V is now available for pre-order in the Philippines until August 7. It has an SRP of Php130,999 and comes with a free NP-FZ100 battery worth Php4,490.
