Instagram can now make money recommending Shopee products

A new partnership between Shopee and Meta is letting creators in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Brazil earn commissions by recommending products on Instagram . It allows eligible creators to link their Shopee affiliate account to their Instagram professional account. From there, they can pick products to feature in their Reels or Feed posts. When someone watches the content and buys the product on Shopee, the creator gets a cut of the sale. This is one of the first times Meta has rolled out this type of affiliate setup on Instagram outside the US. The companies previously launched a similar program on Facebook in 2025. With this new Instagram feature, creators can: Add multiple Shopee products in one Reel or post Use a shopping icon and a special label that says “commission eligible” Make it easy for viewers to spot featured items and buy them without leaving the app See also: How to avoid fake sellers on Shopee and Lazada Brands and sellers...

VinFast, Green GSM “RentaPasada” program for TNVS drivers launched

Rentapasada

VinFast Philippines and Green GSM officially introduced its new RENTAPASADA program. The program lets drivers use electric vehicles for work while paying a small security deposit instead of the large down payments required by traditional car dealers.

Drivers only need to put down Php5,000 as a security deposit to join. Green GSM takes care of registration, insurance, maintenance, and GPS installation. The company also helps drivers apply for transport network vehicle service accreditation, though drivers must secure their own licenses.

The daily rental rates are fixed at Php1,300 for the Herio Green model and Php1,650 for the Limo Green variant. These rates include all fees and remove the uncertainty of fluctuating fuel costs.

Rentapasada

From March 13, 2026, to March 31, 2029, drivers can charge their vehicles for free through the V-Green charging network. Green GSM also covers insurance and maintenance costs.

The good thing about the RentaPasada program is drivers get to keep most of what they earn. In the first year, they take home 90 percent of their trip income. That drops slightly to 85 percent in years two and three. To qualify for these rates, drivers need to complete at least 250 trips each month and accept 90 percent of ride requests.

Get ready to dust off your climbing axes. Lara Croft, the legendary treasure hunter, is returning to consoles and computers in a big way. Following a long break from solo adventures, two major new games in the Tomb Raider series were revealed at The Game Awards 2025. The last time players controlled Lara in a core series game was 2018’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Now, publisher Amazon Games and longtime developer Crystal Dynamics are bringing her back with a pair of distinct projects. The first is Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis , a full remake of the original 1996 game that started it all. It is being built with Unreal Engine 5 by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog. Fans can expect a visual overhaul for Lara’s first journey, which the announcement suggests will still include prehistoric creatures. This remake is planned for launch in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Following that will be Tomb Raider: Catalyst , an entirely new story set for release in 2027....

Sei Crypto Wallet to come pre-installed on Xiaomi phones

Xiaomi and The Sei Development Foundation, a non-profit that promotes the Sei network, have entered a global partnership that aims to promote mainstream blockchain adoption. From 2026, Xiaomi phones available outside mainland China and the United States will come pre-installed with a wallet and crypto discovery app developed by Sei Labs. This would definitely help increase the adoption of the network as Xiaomi is one of the biggest smartphone vendors in the world, just behind Samsung and Apple. Participating phones will be able to conduct peer-to-peer payments, explore Web3 products, and access decentralized applications without the need to download third-party apps. What’s more, Sei plans to implement stablecoin payments in over 20,000 Xiaomi stores, starting in Hong Kong and the European Union. Sei Labs aims to “build a decentralized NASDAQ” and targets to accommodate 200,000 transactions per second as it aims to shift the financial ecosystem on-chain. To make it possible, th...

Disney reportedly considering buying Epic Games

A new rumor suggests Disney is looking to purchase Epic Games , the company behind Fortnite and the Unreal Engine technology. The information comes from tech journalist Alex Heath, who said during a recent podcast appearance that several top executives at Disney are pushing for the deal. He noted that opinions inside the company are mixed, so no final decision has been made. Disney and Epic already know each other well. Fortnite has hosted multiple events featuring Disney characters and stories over the years, including Star Wars and Marvel themes. The two companies also have a financial connection. In early 2025, Disney invested $1.5 billion in Epic, giving it a significant ownership stake. A full buyout would mean much more than just owning Fortnite. Epic’s Unreal Engine is used widely across Hollywood. Disney already relies on it for shows like The Mandalorian. That technology could become even more important to Disney following the recent shutdown of OpenAI’s Sora video servi...
