Nothing Phone 3: Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 CPU, Four 50MP cameras, Glyph Matrix

Nothing has unveiled its best smartphone to date, the Nothing Phone 3. It features a couple of high-end specs, a bolder design, and its latest Glyph Matrix interface. Let’s start with the most interesting upgrade. The Nothing Phone 3 gets a circular screen on the back that consists of 489 LEDs that show dot-matrix style animations to show notifications, calls, messages, and even pixelated photos, a few dedicated games, Glyph Mirror, and Solar Clock. This Glyph display sits on the top right of the elaborately designed rear panel — an all-out expression of Nothing’s design language. There’s also a dedicated button on the rear that lets you cycle through the screen. We also have the triple 50-megapixel cameras. It is led by a 1/1.3-inch main sensor with optical image stabilization. The other 50-megapixel sensor measures at 1/2.75-inches and sits behind a periscope lens with a 3x optical zoom, 70mm equivalent, and macro capabilities. We then have a 50-megapixel ultra-wide len...

HUAWEI-Pura-80-Pro-Plus

HUAWEI’s Pura 80 series is now out with four new models. For today, we’ll be focusing on the Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Pro Plus.

The HUAWEI Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Pro Plus are essentially the same device. But being the Plus model, it has a sturdier 2nd-gen Kunlun Glass, higher RAM, and dual satellite communication support for both Beidou and Tiantong.

Pura 80 Pro Plus’s satellite support allows for two-way messaging, lets you send photos, and can stay connected without needing to constantly point it to the satellites. The vanilla Pura 80 Pro only supports Beidou.

The rest of the specs are the same. Both models have 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED screens with a high 120Hz refresh rate, 3000-nit peak brightness, and 1440Hz PWM dimming.

They also boast a 5,700mAh battery, with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging, and a USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port. They will ship with HarmonyOS 5.1 in China.

HONOR has released a new smartphone with a name we haven’t heard from them before, the HONOR X9c Smart. The HONOR X9c Smart is powered by a new MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra processor, albeit not many details are available on this chip. What we know is that it has the same 2.5GHz clock speed and IMG BXM-8-256 GPU as the non-Ultra chip. As for the design, it has the same ring camera layout on the back as the X9b and X9a and comes in Ocean Cyan and Moonlight White colorways. HONOR also brags how it is only 7.8mm thick and only weighs 193g. It also received an SGS 5-star comprehensive reliability rating for having a 2-meter drop resistance. It’s not clear if it received an official ingress protection rating, but HONOR claims it’s waterproof and will work even with greasy hands. The camera island holds a sharp 108-megapixel main camera but only a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens. A 16-megapixel selfie camera is on the front, on top of the large 6.8-inch FHD+ display.
