While other brands are racing to come up with the thinnest, vivo is out here beating everyone by putting the biggest battery ever on a foldable phone. They achieved that with the vivo X Fold5.
The vivo X Fold5 has a 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery split into two cells, making it the biggest capacity ever found on a foldable phone. It comes with an 80W wired and whopping 40W wireless charging support.

vivo achieved that while keeping the Fold5 thin and light. This one is only 9.2mm when folded and 4.3mm when opened.
The device is also IPX8, IPX9+, and IP5X dust and water resistant, withstanding water submersion, water jets, and cold environments of up to -20°C. It then has a sturdy, durable, but light hinge made of steel and carbon fiber.

A big highlight is the 8.03-inch foldable LTPO OLED screen, with a 2480 x 2200 pixel resolution, 10-bit color, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 4500-nit peak brightness, and 120Hz refresh rate.
We then have a 6.53-inch LTPO AMOLED cover display with many of the key features of the main display.

The camera system is boosted by ZEISS T* lenses. There’s a 50-megapixel IMX921 main sensor with optical image stabilization and a bright f/1.57 aperture. It is joined by a 50-megapixel IMX882 sensor with a 3x periscope lens and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide.
Of course, it uses a flagship chipset, albeit from two generations ago. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

We may have found the justification for the dated chipset. The vivo X Fold5 is reasonably priced compared to other foldables. The 12GB/256GB retails for just CNY6,999 (~Php55,200), 12GB/512GB for CNY7,999 (~Php63,100), 16GB/512GB for CNY8,499 (~Php67,000), and 16GB/1TB for CNY9,499 (~Php74,900). They will be available in China by July 2.
