Remember those temperature-sensitive, color-changing back panels from a few years ago? Well, they are making a comeback with the latest OPPO Reno14.
A new Sun and Moonlight version of the OPPO Reno14 has been announced in China. It has a temperature-sensitive rear panel that changes in color when exposed to heat. But unlike previous implementations, the transitions are faster and more effective.
The rear panel reveals a vibrant orange hue when exposed to -15°C temperature, then shifts back to silver at 70°C. Unlike previous electrochromatic designs, this new technology works faster and more seamlessly with the environment.
The new OPPO Reno14 Sun and Moonlight Edition is first available in China, where you can get it for a starting price of CNY2,699 (~Php21,200). Gimmicks like this should also make their way to the Philippines, so stay tuned for that.
For a quick recap, the Reno14 came out with a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor, a 120Hz AMOLED screen, triple 50-megapixel cameras, a large 6,000mAh battery, and 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging.
