realme has confirmed that its flagship GT 7 series will be among the first devices to receive the Android 16 update, several weeks after Google’s stable release of the new operating system last month.
To deliver on its commitment of longer software support, the company plans to rollout Android 16 with realme UI 7 to the flagship GT 7 Series and other older devices.
The realme GT 7 Pro, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, will be the first to receive the update, followed by the GT 7 and GT 7T, which run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400e and 8400 processors, respectively. Once the GT 7 series rollout is complete, realme will shift focus to the GT 6 lineup, including the GT 6 and GT 6T.
Though Realme has not yet released an official eligibility list, it’s expected that the software update will extend beyond flagship models. Devices from the number series (such as the Realme 14 and 13 families), Narzo series (including the Narzo 80 and 70 models), Neo series, P series, and even budget C-series phones like the Realme C75 and C71 are likely to receive Android 16 as well.
realme has not specified exact rollout dates yet but plans to release a detailed schedule later this year.
