HMD just announced a bunch of new wearables. Let’s first focus on their new and first-ever smartwatches, the HMD Watch X1 and Watch P1.
The HMD Watch X1 comes with a 1.43-inch AMOLED round display with a 466 x 466 pixel resolution and 600 nits of peak brightness. Meanwhile, the HMD Watch P1 is the cheaper alternative with its 1.83-inch square LCD with a 284 x 240 resolution and 550-nits of peak brightness.
Both watches come with a proprietary magnetic charger, with the Watch X1 lasting for up to 5 days with AOD on and the Watch P1 up to 4 days. The Watch X1 is IP68 dust and water-resistant, while the P1 is only IP67-rated.
The duo runs on a proprietary RTOS and pairs to your Android or iOS device through the HMD Watch App.
They have a heart-rate and SpO2 sensor to track steps, sleep quality, stress, and different workouts and activities. They also support Bluetooth calls and other standard features like notifications and music control.
While pricing and availability were not shared, you’d be able to get the HMD Watch X1 in Gray Green, Black, Gray Metallic, and Silver Leather straps, while the HMD P1 comes in Black and Silver colorways.
UPDATE: The HMD P1 is now available in Shopee Philippines for Php1,990.
