TP-Link Archer 8 Wi-Fi 8 router with improved signal, faster speed announced

Tired of your video calls freezing even though your internet plan is supposed to be fast? TP-Link thinks the problem isn’t your provider, but your router. The company has just announced the Archer 8, its very first router based on the new Wi-Fi 8 standard, and it is not obsessed with peak speeds. Instead of chasing bigger numbers on a box, TP-Link is focusing on making home Wi-Fi actually work when you need it most. The Archer 8 is built around the upcoming IEEE 802.11bn specification, with a launch date set for October 2026. The main goal is to fix the usual headaches: inconsistent signals in different rooms, lag spikes while gaming, and connections that drop when too many devices are online at once. To back up its claims, TP-Link ran its own tests inside the company’s labs. Engineers compared early Wi-Fi 8 hardware against current Wi-Fi 7 gear under messy, real-world conditions. The numbers suggest some meaningful improvements: Speed at longer ranges got ...

Do more with the ASUS Zenbook DUO: Dual-screen productivity anytime, anywhere

Asus-Zenbook-Duo-2026-221

Anyone who’s experienced a dual-monitor setup knows one thing: going back to a single screen feels limiting. The productivity boost, smoother multitasking, and added workspace simply change the way you work.

The problem? That experience is usually locked to a desk setup at home or in the office — not exactly ideal in today’s era of remote work, hybrid lifestyles, and digital nomads.

Thankfully, ASUS has a solution. Enter the 2026 ASUS Zenbook DUO, a laptop that brings a true dual-screen experience anywhere you go.

And this isn’t just a gimmick. ASUS has refined the Zenbook DUO formula over the years, transforming it into a genuinely powerful productivity machine for professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and creatives alike.

From its versatile form factor to its flagship-grade internals, the ASUS Zenbook DUO unlocks workflows that ordinary laptops simply can’t match. Here are the top features that you should care about.

One laptop, two stunning displays

If you’re unfamiliar with the ASUS Zenbook DUO, here’s what makes it unique: it features two full-sized displays. The second screen sits where the keyboard usually would, instantly doubling your workspace.

You can type using the virtual keyboard on the touchscreen, or attach the bundled detachable keyboard and trackpad for a more traditional setup. The magnetic attachment makes it easy to align, snap into place, and charge seamlessly.

More importantly, these aren’t just secondary displays slapped onto a laptop. Both are gorgeous 14-inch 3K ASUS Lumina Pro OLED touchscreens with a sharp 2880 x 1800 resolution, a productivity-friendly 16:10 aspect ratio, ultra-fast 0.2ms response time, and silky-smooth 144Hz refresh rate.

Built with casual creators in mind, the displays also support HDR with up to 1000 nits peak brightness, are PANTONE Validated, and carry VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification. ASUS even upgraded the panels with anti-reflection coating, making them more comfortable to use in different orientations and lighting conditions.

ASUS pairs those displays with a six-speaker audio system featuring front-firing tweeters and dedicated woofers for a more immersive listening experience. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support are also onboard.

The result is a device that’s not just built for productivity, but also designed for premium entertainment.

Versatility unlike any other laptop

With two displays at your disposal, the ASUS Zenbook DUO becomes far more than just a traditional laptop.

Of course, you can still use it in standard Laptop Mode — ideal for working in cafés, airports, or cramped spaces. But the Zenbook DUO truly shines once you start exploring its other modes.

Dual Screen Mode lets you stack both displays vertically using the built-in kickstand while placing the detachable keyboard on the desk. You can also ditch the physical keyboard entirely and use the virtual one for a cleaner, more futuristic setup.

Desktop Mode transforms the device into two tall vertical displays, making it excellent for coding, writing, spreadsheet work, reading long documents, or multitasking between multiple apps and browser windows.

There’s also Sharing Mode, which is especially useful for collaboration. You can edit photos in Adobe Lightroom or cut videos in Adobe Premiere on one display while presenting previews, timelines, or references on the other for teammates or clients to see.

These are workflows that simply aren’t possible on most conventional laptops — and it’s exactly what makes the Zenbook DUO stand out.

Sleeker, tougher, and built to last

The previous Zenbook DUO was already impressively sleek, but ASUS managed to refine the design even further for 2026.

This year’s model introduces a new hideaway hinge design that reduces the gap between the two displays by 70 percent. ASUS also managed to shrink the overall footprint by 5 percent, making it easier to slip into bags and carry around daily.

Despite the slimmer build, durability remains a major focus

ASUS reinforced the hinge mechanism to withstand over 40,000 open-and-close cycles and support up to 15kg of load-bearing force. The OLED panels themselves are designed to endure direct pressure, with the upper display surviving up to 5kg and the lower panel up to 15kg.

Even the detachable keyboard underwent extensive durability testing, rated for up to 1 million keystrokes, while the kickstand was engineered to maintain stability after 40,000 folds.

Like many of ASUS’ premium laptops, the Zenbook DUO also uses the company’s proprietary Ceraluminum material on the lid, delivering a chassis that’s 30 percent lighter and three times stronger than traditional aluminum.

Flagship AI performance for serious multitasking

Beyond the innovative hardware, the ASUS Zenbook DUO packs flagship-grade performance underneath.

Powering the device is the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor, paired with 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and a fast 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD. Whether you’re editing videos, managing massive spreadsheets, juggling dozens of browser tabs, or running creative software simultaneously across two screens, the Zenbook DUO is built to handle it.

ASUS says the new model delivers up to 26 percent faster CPU performance and up to 112 percent faster gaming performance compared to its predecessor.

As a Copilot+ PC, it also comes equipped with up to 50 TOPS of NPU power for AI-driven workloads. ASUS claims the upgraded NPU is now 203 percent faster, allowing quicker AI processing for modern productivity and creative applications.

All-day battery life — even with two screens

Running two high-resolution OLED displays naturally sounds power-hungry, but the Zenbook DUO still delivers impressive endurance.

It packs a massive 99Wh battery rated for up to 1.2x longer lifespan. ASUS claims up to 18 hours of offline video playback or up to 12 hours of web browsing — and that’s already using both screens simultaneously.

Switch to single-screen mode and battery life stretches even further, reaching up to 32 hours of video playback or 18 hours of web browsing.

Charging is equally convenient thanks to USB-C Easy Charge support with a 100W adapter, capable of bringing the battery to 60 percent in just 49 minutes.

A productivity powerhouse built for modern work

Asus-Zenbook-Duo-2026-227

The 2026 ASUS Zenbook DUO isn’t trying to be flashy for the sake of it. Every part of its design serves a purpose — from the dual OLED displays and detachable keyboard to the durable chassis and AI-ready performance.

It’s a device built for people who constantly multitask, create, present, edit, communicate, and work on the go.

To sweeten the deal, ASUS bundles the Zenbook DUO with the ASUS Pen 3.0 stylus, an ASUS-exclusive sleeve, and a lifetime license for Office 2025 Home so you can get productive immediately.

It also comes with free 1-year Microsoft 365 Basic with free 1-year Cloud Storage. You’re also buying into the renowned ASUS Quality & Service that includes a 2-year international warranty and 1-year accidental damage protection, and up to 700GB ASUS Cloud Storage bundle.

Amazon announces two new Tomb Raider games

Get ready to dust off your climbing axes. Lara Croft, the legendary treasure hunter, is returning to consoles and computers in a big way. Following a long break from solo adventures, two major new games in the Tomb Raider series were revealed at The Game Awards 2025. The last time players controlled Lara in a core series game was 2018’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Now, publisher Amazon Games and longtime developer Crystal Dynamics are bringing her back with a pair of distinct projects. The first is Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis , a full remake of the original 1996 game that started it all. It is being built with Unreal Engine 5 by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog. Fans can expect a visual overhaul for Lara’s first journey, which the announcement suggests will still include prehistoric creatures. This remake is planned for launch in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Following that will be Tomb Raider: Catalyst , an entirely new story set for release in 2027....
