You have seen those esports players on stage. They move fast. Their phones never lag. Even after hours of practice, the device stays cool and responsive. That is exactly what the Infinix GT 50 Pro promises to bring to regular users.

I got to try the phone for a few days. Not on a stage, but in real life – long gaming sessions, video calls, social media scrolling, and even some quick photo tests. So before our full review, here’s my initial impressions on the Infinix GT 50 Pro.

Built for long gaming sessions, no overheating

Infinix-GT-50-Pro-Philippines

The biggest fear for any mobile gamer is the phone heating up. Once it gets hot, the game usually starts dropping frames and the movements become choppy. The GT 50 Pro tries to solve that with something called HydroFlow Liquid Cooling.

Inside the phone, there is a tiny liquid cooling system. You can actually see part of it through a small window on the back. A green liquid moves around to pull heat away from the processor. Does it work? Yes, but let me explain simply.

I played Call of Duty: Mobile and PUBG Mobile for approximately 2 hours straight. Normally, most phones would feel warm to the touch after 30 minutes. The GT 50 Pro stayed cool for the first hour. After two hours, it was only a little bit warm but not hot. More importantly, the game did not slow down and there were no noticeable frame drops. The gaming experience stayed super stable and buttery-smooth.

For a midrange smartphone, this is really impressive. You can play for hours without the phone overheating, dropping frames, or lagging. That’s something a lot of its competitors in the same price segment can do.

Silky smooth gaming with 144Hz screen

Infinix-GT-50-Pro-Gaming

The screen on the Infinix GT 50 Pro is a 6.78-inch AMOLED display and supports a 144Hz refresh rate. For gamers, this is huge. Every movement looks fluid and fast action scenes stay sharp.

But a high refresh rate screen alone is not enough. The phone also has a powerful 4nm MediaTek 8400 Ultimate chip and software optimizations that work together. Infinix calls this the “144 FPS Gaming Ecosystem.” In simple terms, the phone is tuned to keep games running at high frame rates for longer periods.

I also tested a few supported games like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Bloodstrike. The difference between 60 FPS and 144 FPS is very noticeable. Swiping, aiming, and even just walking around in the game feels much smoother. If you are serious about mobile esports, you will definitely appreciate this.

Pressure-Sense GT Triggers – real buttons, real advantage

Infinix-GT-50-Pro-Specs

Other gaming phones put touch sensors on the sides, but the Infinix GT 50 Pro uses physical pressure-sensitive buttons called Pressure-Sense GT Triggers. They are located on the top edge when you hold the phone sideways.

You can map these triggers to any action in a game. For example, the user may set the left trigger to aim and the right trigger to shoot. The buttons feel clicky and responsive. They are not just for show – they actually give you an advantage in fast-paced games. I am not a pro player, but even I found myself reacting faster in shooter games. It takes a bit of learning and getting used to, but once you adapt, you’ll love it.

Designed like a gaming machine, but not too loud

Infinix-GT-50-Pro-NoypiGeeks-2

The Infinix GT 50 Pro comes in three colors: Black Abyss, Glacier Silver, and Red Blaze. My test unit was Glacier Silver. The back has four crosshair-styled RGB lighting strips, which is really unique. You can even change the colors to match your mood or your game.

There is also that see-through window showing the HydroFlow Liquid Cooling system. It looks cool, but honestly, you will not stare at it while gaming. Still, it is a nice conversation piece.

The phone also has an IP64 rating. That means it can handle dust and splashes. Not fully waterproof, but fine for daily use.

Cameras, battery, and daily usage

Infinix-GT-50-Pro-Features

To be honest, no one really buys a gaming phone for the cameras. But the GT 50 Pro does a decent job. It has a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization with 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. Daytime photos look sharp and colorful. Night photos are okay, not great. For video calls, social media stories, and quick snaps, the 13-megapixel front-facing camera is also perfectly fine.

The battery is a massive 6,500mAh. You can easily game for hours and still have power left for the rest of the day. Charging is 45W wired. There is also 30W wireless charging, which is rare for a gaming phone. But in case you want to continue playing while plugged in, it’s way more convenient to go wireless.

One smart feature is bypass charging. When you play while charging, power goes directly to the phone parts instead of the battery. This keeps the battery cooler and healthier over time, helping to make it last longer compared to other phones that don’t have it.

MPL Certified – Chosen by pro players

Infinix-GT-50-Pro-Availability

The Infinix GT 50 Pro is not just another gaming phone. It is the official gaming phone of MPL Philippines, one of the biggest esports leagues in the country. Pro players actually train and compete with this device. That is a strong stamp of approval. If it is good enough for them, it is likely good enough for serious mobile gamers, too.

Who is this for?

Infinix-GT-50-Pro-Price

The Infinix GT 50 Pro is for anyone who plays mobile games seriously. If you get frustrated when your phone heats up and slows down, this phone solves that. If you want smoother gameplay with real shoulder buttons, this phone delivers. It is also a good daily driver with its long battery life, decent cameras, and smooth 144Hz screen.

Is it perfect? Of course not. The cameras could be better. Still, for the price and the features, it is one of the best affordable gaming phones I have tried.

The Infinix GT 50 Pro lives up to its “Liquid Cooling Beast, King of Esports” tag line. It lets Filipinos train and play like a pro, without spending pro-level money.

Pricing and availability

For those who are interested, the Infinix GT 50 Pro first sale starts June 10 at 8PM via the @infinixphilippines official TikTok Shop. You can enjoy exclusive launch discounts worth Php2,000, plus limited-time deals and first-sale offers.

That makes the phone very competitive for its price range. For a device with liquid cooling, 144Hz screen, and physical triggers, the Infinix GT 50 Pro is really worth the money.

Sei Crypto Wallet to come pre-installed on Xiaomi phones

Xiaomi and The Sei Development Foundation, a non-profit that promotes the Sei network, have entered a global partnership that aims to promote mainstream blockchain adoption. From 2026, Xiaomi phones available outside mainland China and the United States will come pre-installed with a wallet and crypto discovery app developed by Sei Labs. This would definitely help increase the adoption of the network as Xiaomi is one of the biggest smartphone vendors in the world, just behind Samsung and Apple. Participating phones will be able to conduct peer-to-peer payments, explore Web3 products, and access decentralized applications without the need to download third-party apps. What’s more, Sei plans to implement stablecoin payments in over 20,000 Xiaomi stores, starting in Hong Kong and the European Union. Sei Labs aims to “build a decentralized NASDAQ” and targets to accommodate 200,000 transactions per second as it aims to shift the financial ecosystem on-chain. To make it possible, th...
