UGREEN launches AMD-powered DXP2800 GT and DXP4800 GT NAS

UGREEN has introduced two fresh additions to its NAS lineup. The new devices are called the DXP2800 GT and the DXP4800 GT . The company says the “GT” badge stands for a mix of speed and steady performance, similar to what you might expect from a high-end sports car. Both machines are small and designed to sit on a desk. They look nearly identical. Each one has a gray metal body with gold trim, a magnetic dust filter on the back, and a hydraulic fan that runs quietly between 29 and 34 decibels. That means you can leave them on all day and night without much noise. Under the hood, both models use the same AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514 chip. That processor has 4 cores and 8 threads and can reach up to 3.7GHz when pushed. UGREEN claims this gives a 26 percent speed boost over some of its older NAS models. Each device starts with 8GB of DDR4 memory, and you can upgrade that to 64GB if you need more. They also come with 64GB of built-in storage just for the operati...

DXP4800-GT

UGREEN has introduced two fresh additions to its NAS lineup. The new devices are called the DXP2800 GT and the DXP4800 GT.

DXP4800-GT

Each device starts with 8GB of DDR4 memory, and you can upgrade that to 64GB if you need more. They also come with 64GB of built-in storage just for the operating system, which is UGREEN’s own UGOS Pro software. That software includes features like Docker, virtual machines, an AI tool to organize your photos, a security camera manager, and a remote access service called UGREENlink. That last one lets you get to your files from anywhere without messing with public IP addresses.

The main differences come down to storage space and network ports.

DXP2800-GT

The UGREEN DXP2800 GT is the simpler, cheaper option. It has two slots for standard hard drives and two slots for fast M.2 SSDs. Total storage can go up to 80TB. For networking, it has a single 10GbE port. On the front, you get a USB-C and a USB-A port, both at 10Gbps. The back has more USB-A ports and an HDMI 2.1 plug.

DXP2800-GT

The UGREEN DXP4800 GT is the bigger brother. It has four hard drive bays plus the same two M.2 SSD slots. Total storage maxes out at 144TB. The real upgrade is the two 10GbE network ports, as you can combine them for a total speed of up to 20Gbps. That makes it powerful enough for editing 4K or 8K video or running virtual machines. This model also has an SD card reader on the front and supports more RAID types, including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10.

The DXP2800 GT costs $509.99 (~Php31,200). The DXP4800 GT is priced at $659.99 (~Php40,500) in the US. It’s still unknown if UGREEN will bring these devices in the Philippines.

Xiaomi and The Sei Development Foundation, a non-profit that promotes the Sei network, have entered a global partnership that aims to promote mainstream blockchain adoption. From 2026, Xiaomi phones available outside mainland China and the United States will come pre-installed with a wallet and crypto discovery app developed by Sei Labs. What’s more, Sei plans to implement stablecoin payments in over 20,000 Xiaomi stores, starting in Hong Kong and the European Union. Sei Labs aims to “build a decentralized NASDAQ” and targets to accommodate 200,000 transactions per second as it aims to shift the financial ecosystem on-chain. To make it possible, th...
