HONOR Magic9 Pro Max: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme, 8,800mAh, 100W charging, Dual 200MP

The HONOR Magic9 Pro Max is out, and it’s the most powerful, feature-packed smartphone from the company. HONOR’s latest has all the big numbers you’d expect from a 2026 flagship phone. For starters, the HONOR Magic9 Pro Max is one of the first smartphones to be powered by the 2nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor. That chipset has 2x prime cores clocked at 5.01GHz, joined by 3x performance cores at 4.03GHz, and 3x more performance cores at 3.74GHz. There’s also an Adreno 850 GPU, up to 16GB of RAM, and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. You also get an enormous 8,800mAh silicon-carbon battery, aptly paired with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. There’s an equally large 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display, with a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a whopping 10,000-nit peak brightness. HONOR Play 20A: Rear display, Helio G81 CPU, 6,000mAh battery

Rear displays are starting to make their way to budget phones with the release of the HONOR Play 20A.

The HONOR Play 20A has a pretty wide colored display on the back, sitting inside the horizontal camera island. It shows the time, network and battery life, customizable wallpapers, music player, and incoming calls. You can also use it as a viewfinder when taking selfies with the rear camera.

We then have a 6.9-inch panel for the main display, with a high 90Hz refresh rate, but the resolution is still unknown. Keeping the lights on is the usual 6,000mAh battery with 15W wired charging.

Powering the device is a 4G-only MediaTek Helio G81 processor, with 4GB of RAM, and an option between 64GB and 128GB of storage. The official Android version it ships with is yet to be confirmed.

An online retailer in UAE called Sharaf DG UAE has now listed the HONOR Play 20A for AUD399 (~Php17,600).

Amazon announces two new Tomb Raider games

Get ready to dust off your climbing axes. Lara Croft, the legendary treasure hunter, is returning to consoles and computers in a big way. Following a long break from solo adventures, two major new games in the Tomb Raider series were revealed at The Game Awards 2025. The last time players controlled Lara in a core series game was 2018’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Now, publisher Amazon Games and longtime developer Crystal Dynamics are bringing her back with a pair of distinct projects.
