Meta has introduced Ray-Ban Meta Audio, marking the first time the company has released smart glasses without a camera. Since there is no camera component taking up space, the frames weigh only 43 grams.
According to Meta, these are its lightest and thinnest AI glasses to date, while keeping the well-known Ray-Ban design.
Sound has remained the top feature among Meta glasses users from the very beginning. Listeners can enjoy music and podcasts, answer phone calls with voice pickup that beats earbuds, and speak with an AI assistant without lifting a finger.
The frames link up with Muse, Meta’s personal AI agent, which offers sports results, nearby restaurant suggestions, real-time conversation translation, and assistance with everyday tasks.

A single charge keeps the glasses running for as long as 12 hours, and the charging case that comes in the box provides an extra 48 hours.
For comfort, the design includes temple tips that a professional can adjust, nose pads that can be repositioned or replaced, and overextension hinges. Buyers can pick between two new shapes: the retro-inspired Clubmaster and the classic rectangular Burbank. There are 23 color and lens options in total, and every one of them supports a broad range of optical prescriptions.
Pricing and availability details for Ray-Ban Meta Audio have not been announced by Meta yet.
