vivo officially announced the X500 series in China. For this one, let’s focus on the vivo X500 Pro. The vivo X500 Pro now sits between the base vivo X500 and now the current top dog, the vivo X500 Pro Max . The two Pro models do share many qualities: they are the first to use the new MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro flagship chipset. They also use the same 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA L910 sensor that was co-developed by vivo themselves. The Pro Max has gimbal-grade 3-degree optical image stabilization, while the X500 Pro settles for 1.5 degrees. Instead of a 200-megapixel periscope, the non-Max model settles for a respectable 64-megapixel telephoto shooter with optical image stabilization. vivo officially announced the X500 series in China. For this one, let’s focus on the vivo X500 Pro.

The vivo X500 Pro now sits between the base vivo X500 and now the current top dog, the vivo X500 Pro Max. The two Pro models do share many qualities: they are the first to use the new MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro flagship chipset.

Both Pro models use a similar 2K LTPO AMOLED panel with a high 144Hz refresh rate, albeit the X500 Pro is much smaller at 6.36 inches than the Pro Max’s 6.85-inch display.

Being smaller also meant a smaller 6,510mAh (vs 8,000mAh) battery, although all X500 models do share the same 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. They ship with the latest Android 17-based OriginOS 7.

The vivo X500 Pro has a starting price of CNY6,499 (~Php60,600) for the 12GB/256GB model, which goes up to CNY8,499 (~Php79,300) for the top-of-the-line 12GB/1TB.

Amazon announces two new Tomb Raider games

Following a long break from solo adventures, two major new games in the Tomb Raider series were revealed at The Game Awards 2025.
