Google has a new fitness band called the Fitbit Edge, and it sits between the Pixel Watch 5 and the very basic Fitbit Air.
The Google Fitbit Edge comes with a 1.34-inch AMOLED display with Always-On Display (AOD) support. It runs on its own interface, and not WearOS like its cousins have. A single physical button is on the side.
It may be basic, but it has many smartwatch features like Google Maps. You can also see notifications and do quick replies, control music, and create alarms and timers.
The Edge has an aluminum case that’s only 11.5mm thick and weighs just 17.7g without the band.

For fitness tracking, it has a PPG optical heart-rate sensor. It can also do blood oxygen (SpO2) measurements, ECG readings, and has a skin temperature sensor.
It supports over 50 workout modes, which include outdoor activities with its built-in GPS tracking.

The Edge can also show step counts, sleep, and more. Water sports should also not be an issue with its IP68 dust- and water-resistant rating.
Powering the device is an Ambiq AP5 MCU with 64MB NOR flash memory. The 65mAh battery lasts for up to 7 days of normal use.

The Google Fitbit Edge is now available for pre-order in select markets for USD180 (~Php11,300). It is available in Black Aluminum body with an Obsidian Band, Satin Silver Aluminum with Fog band, Champagne Gold with Canyon Band, and Satin Pyrite Aluminum with Olive band.
