Xiaomi’s latest sub-flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro, are now here. Like their predecessors, the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro share a lot of similarities. Apart from the design, they have a very bright 4,000-nit display with a 144Hz refresh rate, three cameras on the back, Dimensity chipsets from MediaTek, IP68 dust and water resistance, and a 5,000mAh battery. For the Pro model, we have a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ octa-core processor that has a single 3.4GHz Cortex-X4 core, and Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU. Meanwhile, the non-Pro option uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chip with a Mali-G615 MC6 GPU. Both models will come with 12GB of RAM, with the Pro variant getting 512GB and 1TB storage options while the vanilla can be had with 256GB and 512GB. The new HONOR Play 60 Plus comes out as a new budget-friendly smartphone from the company sporting a fast display, an extra large battery, and a robust build quality.

With the HONOR Play 60 Plus, you’re getting a 5,000mAh battery that’s relatively bigger than the 5,000mAh capacity most of its competition has. As per HONOR, it can last for up to 24 hours of video streaming, 62 hours of music playback, and 11 hours of video calls. It is joined by a 35W charger.

It also has a durable build as it received an SGS five-star rating for drop resistance. It is also IP64 rated for being dust and water resistance.

The Play 60 Plus is also equipped with stereo speakers with 300% volume boost mode. It should pair well with the rather low-resolution 6.77-inch HD+ display, but with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 850 nits of peak brightness.

There’s a punch-hole on top of the screen for the 5-megapixel selfie camera while on the back, we have a 50-megapixel main shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

As a cherry on top, the device runs on the latest Android 14-based MagicOS 8.0 interface. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.

The HONOR Play 60 Plus has an SRP of CNY1,499 (~Php12,100) for the 12GB/256GB and CNY1,699 (~Php13,700) for the 12GB/512GB model. It’s now listed in China. No confirmation yet if it will be launching internationally.

Xiaomi has introduced in China its best smartphone to date, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, just a few days before its global debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona this February 25.
