OPPO A3 price in the Philippines unveiled

OPPO-A3-Philippines-Price

The OPPO A-series has always been a best-seller for the company, especially here in the Philippines. Now, they have released a new model, the OPPO A3.

One of the key highlights of the OPPO A3 is its military-grade shock resistance having received the MIL-STD-810H certification. It is also IP54 dust and splash-resistant and can survive exposure to “multiple liquids” like coffee and soup.

It has a bright 1,000 nits of peak display brightness, a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, and a decent 6.67-inch HD+ IPS panel. The Splash Touch technology lets you use the screen even if it’s wet, while the 300% volume booster mode makes the single loudspeaker extra loud when you need it.

Another big improvement over its predecessor is the 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging, which can charge the 5,100mAh battery to 50% in just half an hour, with a full charge taking 85 minutes. OPPO also claims that it can retain 80% of its battery health after four years.

It may lack 5G, but it does sport the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 processor, with 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage. OPPO also claims that it can provide “50 months of fluency” for a like-new experience even after 4+ years.

For the cameras, we have a 50-megapixel main shooter, a flicker sensor, and a 5-megapixel selfie snapper in a punch-hole cutout. Not great, but should be acceptable considering the price.

OPPO-A3-Philippines-Availability

The new OPPO A3 6GB/128GB is available in Starry Purple and Sparkle Black for a price of Php8,999. It is available in physical stores nationwide and through Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. Xiaomi 14 Ultra: SD 8 Gen 3, 120Hz AMOLED, 1-inch sensor, Titanium Edition

Xiaomi has introduced in China its best smartphone to date, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, just a few days before its global debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona this February 25. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra looks similar to its predecessor in terms of the layout. But this time, it’s more refined, and Xiaomi is joining in on the Titanium hype as it will come with a Titanium Special Edition model, which uses a grade 5 titanium like the new iPhone 15 Pro series. Oddly, it weighs 229.6g, which is heavier than the black and white (22.4.4g) and Dragon Crystal (229.5g) colors. The Titanium will also exclusively get two-way satellite communication. Another similar but refined feature is the cameras. It still has four 50-megapixel shooters, however, the main one gets an upgraded 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor. It also has a wider f/1.63 aperture, which can be dropped to f/4.0. The other three cameras use the same 1/2.5-inch Sony IMX858 sensor. That’s for the ultra-wide lens with a 12mm eq
