We have Lapu-lapu and Paquito in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Josie Rizal in the Tekken series, Neon of Valorant, and other Filipino-inspired video game characters, but it’s rare to have actual Filipinos featured in the game. That’s about to change.
Filipino Olympic skateboarder Margielyn Didal is set to be included in the lineup of pro skaters from around the world in the upcoming video game Pro Skater 3 + 4, the latest game from the skateboarding video game series from the living sports legend Tony Hawk.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is expected to be released on July 22, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

“I’m excited to be in the game and for other people to use me to have fun in the game,” said Margielyn in the trailer interview. “My advice to other kids [is] just try skateboarding or even other sports. Just have fun, and don’t forget why you got started,” she added.
This will be the first game in the Pro Skater series in the last five years. The most recent Tony Hawk’s video game release was Pro Skater 1 + 2 in 2020, a remake of the first two games in the series. Similarly, Pro Skater 3 and 4 will be remakes of the original Pro Skater 3 and Pro Skater 4, released in 2001 and 2002, respectively.
Didal became a skateboarding icon when she represented the Philippines at the 2018 X Games in Minneapolis, won gold at the 2018 Asian Games, and competed at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, consistently giving off positive vibes throughout the tournaments, elevating the game, and inspiring young Filipino skaters.
