Cellphone use allowed in classrooms for learning purposes, DepEd says

If one rule in school is still being implemented in most universities or campuses, it’s the strict “No Gadget” policy. It’s a straightforward law that reminds students that mobile phones, tablets, video game consoles, and even personal laptops should be kept away during class hours. The School Year 2025 – 2026 has finally begun for most schools, and the debate on the limitations of gadget use is still ongoing. According to a report by GMA News , Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara, the Secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd) , assures that the Department supports technology as part of the classroom learning experience. He clarifies that while the policy against gadget use is still a general rule, those integrated for learning are allowed. Samsung’s sub-flagship tablets, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE Plus, are now in the Philippines.

Both the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE and S10 FE Plus are powered by the same Exynos 1580 octa-core processor and, sadly, only 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage — really lackluster for the price.

Both models also have the same 12-megapixel ultra-wide selfie cameras, 13-megapixel on the back, AKG-tuned stereo speakers, and 45W fast charging.

Their only key difference is the display, battery, and sizes. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE Plus comes with a 13.1-inch IPS screen with a 10,090mAh battery. The smaller Tab S10 FE has a 10.9-inch screen with an 8,000mAh battery.

You can get a Php4,000 discount when you purchase from the Samsung Online Store or Shop App until December 31, 2025, and a 50% off on an anti-reflective screen protector, Smart Book Cover, and Book Cover Keyboard until June 15. Samsung tries to justify the price further by offering 35% and 10% discounts on other Samsung accessories, phones, and tablets.
