HUAWEI nova 15: Kirin 8020 CPU, 120Hz OLED display, 100W battery

The HUAWEI nova 15 is out as the successor to the brand’s most popular midrange line. It’s the baby brother of the nova 15 Pro and nova 15 Ultra . The HUAWEI nova 15 swaps the Kirin 9010S with a toned-down Kirin 8020 processor. That should provide an impressive 42% performance boost over its predecessor. It also has a smaller but still impressive 6,000mAh battery with the same 100W wired charging. HUAWEI also brought satellite connectivity, IP65 water protection, and HarmonyOS 6.0 to the cheapest nova 15. We then have a sharp 50-megapixel selfie camera on the front. On the back, there’s a 50-megapixel RYYB sensor, joined by a 12-megapixel RYYB telephoto, and a 1.5-megapixel multispectral color sensor. The HUAWEI nova 15 12GB/256GB retails for CNY2,699 (~Php22,600), while the 12GB/512GB is at CNY2,999 (~Php25,100). Release details in the Philippines are yet to be known. HUAWEI nova 15 Pro now official

The HUAWEI nova 15 Pro was announced alongside tons of new hardware from the company.

This one shares many similarities with the fancier nova 15 Ultra. That said, the HUAWEI nova 15 Pro also has a 6.84-inch LTPO OLED display, 4,000-nit peak brightness, a 50-megapixel selfie camera, and a new “dual-ring” design on the back.

Both phones also have Kirin 9010S processors, which are now 18% faster than their predecessors. They also come with 6,500mAh battery with 100W wired charging.

Sadly, the Pro model lacks the Ultra’s 50W wireless charging.

The 50-megapixel telephoto and ultra-wide lenses of the Ultra has been downgraded to 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel sensors, respectively.

They also dropped the water protection to an IP65 rating from IP68/69.

HONOR has released a new smartphone with a name we haven’t heard from them before, the HONOR X9c Smart. The HONOR X9c Smart is powered by a new MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra processor, albeit not many details are available on this chip.
