If you’re a hardcore gamer who can’t be stopped from playing anywhere, then you might love the incredible possibilities this new product spotted at CES 2026 brings. It’s the ASUS ROG XREAL R1.
The ASUS ROG XREAL R1 gaming glasses is a plug-and-play solution allowing you to play triple-A games anywhere, anytime with an immersive virtual screen size of up to a whopping 171 inches and a high 240Hz refresh rate — all without taking up any space in your setup, livingroom, or even if you’re in a coffee shop, the plane, or the park.
ASUS brags that it is the first 240Hz micro-OLED FHD gaming glasses in the world.
By default, the virtual screen follows your every move. There’s an Anchor Mode that pins the screen to a fixed location so you can look away without distraction. The device’s built-in 3D depth of field technology is made for this.

It also has a 0.01ms response time. Meanwhile, the Electrochromic technology will tint lenses on demand or automatically, based on the lighting conditions.
The Sound by Bose technology handles the audio, which should also be great for watching movies.

Easily the best part is its plug-and-play setup. Simply plug a USB-C cable into the ROG XREAL R1 to your ROG Xbox Ally X, gaming desktop, laptop, etc., and you’re good to go. No additional software required.
What’s more, it is bundled with the ROG Control Dock, which lets you seamlessly switch between inputs. It has two HDMI 2.0 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4.
Battery life and pricing for the ASUS ROG XREAL R1 are yet to be announced.
