If you’ve ever been camping or off-roading and worried about your portable power station running out of juice, a new gadget aims to be the ultimate solution. BLUETTI, a company known for its portable power products, has just unveiled the Charger 2 at the CES 2026 tech show. This device solves a specific problem for adventurers: how to charge your batteries from multiple sources without constantly switching cables.
The original BLUETTI Charger let users tap into their vehicle’s alternator, using the engine’s power to recharge a portable battery while driving. The new Charger 2 keeps that feature but adds a crucial second option. Now, you can also connect your rooftop solar panels. This means you can harvest energy from both the sun and your engine at the same time, ensuring you arrive at your destination with as much power as possible.
According to BLUETTI, the Charger 2’s dual-input system can handle up to 600 watts from solar panels and 800 watts from a vehicle’s engine simultaneously. The company claims this makes it 13 times faster than using a standard car charger alone. The device is also smart enough to manage both power sources on its own, prioritizing whichever is available.

For those with bigger energy needs, the BLUETTI Charger 2 can manage more than one Bluetti power station or expansion battery at a time. It even has a bonus feature: it can be used to jump-start a car engine in a pinch.
Current owners of the first-generation Charger will find upgrading relatively simple. Bluetti says the Charger 2 uses the same cabling, making it a straightforward swap. As a loyalty reward, the company is offering an upgrade price of $99 until February 7.
For new customers, the BLUETTI Charger 2 will be available for an introductory price of $349, also until February 7. After that date, the price will increase to $499.
