We’re getting closer to consumer-friendly humanoids thanks to AI. This latest development comes from CES 2026, where the latest LG CLOiD was showcased.
The LG CLOiD is an AI-powered robot designed to do household tasks and chores across connected home appliances. It has LG’s Self-Driving AI Home Hub and LG ThinQ ecosystem at its core.

In its CES 2026 demo, LG showcases different use cases for the CLOiD. The robot can be seen getting milk from the refrigerator and starts reheating a croissant in an oven as it prepares for breakfast.
Once the homeowners are out for the day, the robot will start doing the laundry, then fold and stack them. It highlights how the robot can comprehend user lifestyles and its ability to control home appliances with precision.

Like a true humanoid, the robot consists of a head unit, torso, articulating arms, and a wheeled base. It can pick up objects from knee level, and the torso tilts and has height adjustment.
It also works as a mobile AI hub as it comes with a built-in display, cameras, sensors, speaker, and uses voice-based generative AI.

No word yet as to when the LG CLOiD will actually hit the market.
