While no new phones are coming, ASUS assured consumers that it will continue providing maintenance, software upgrades, and warranty services to existing products.
ASUS hasn’t provided a clear reason as to why it is taking an indefinite break from producing and releasing new smartphones. However, the signs are pretty clear.
The company used to be one of the biggest names in the mobile world before many Chinese company entered the scene.
In the past few years, they have narrowed down their portfolio to high-end phones, completely getting out of the more profitable entry- and midrange market.
Their last smartphones to date are the ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra, which was announced in February 2025, and the ASUS ROG Phone 9 in March.
