NVIDIA DLSS 4.5: 6x Frame Generation, Better Image Quality

NVIDIA was at CES 2026 unveiling big upgrades to its Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) tech.

The new DLSS 4.5 comes with NVIDIA’s second-generation Super Resolution transformer model.

Plus, a new 6x Multi Frame Generation Mode for GeForce RTX 50-series models. This one utilizes AI to generate up to five extra frames for every single rendered.

The new DLSS 4.5 is inclusive and is now available on all RTX GPUs. However, its full potential is only realized on the RTX 40 and RTX 50 series cards.

This tech aims to improve experience on 240Hz 4K monitors.

Meanwhile, the new transformer model will help improve image quality and lower the artifacting DLSS 4 suffers from.
