Globe bringing Starlink Direct to Cell satellite to improve coverage in remote PH areas

Globe Telecom and Starlink reached a partnership that brings the latter’s direct-to-cell (DTC) satellite service to the Philippines. With the Starlink Direct-to-Cell service, Globe Telecom users in far-flung, remote areas can have LTE connectivity. A milestone achievement in an island country heavily divided by water. Xiaomi surprised the media during its Redmi Note 15 series launch by also releasing the Redmi Note 15 Pro 4G.

The media initially thought that only the Redmi Note 15, Note 15 Pro 5G, and Note 15 Pro+ were coming. But we were surprised when the company also unveiled the local prices for the Redmi Note 15 Pro 4G.

Both the Note 15 and Note 15 Pro have 4G and 5G models in the Philippines, giving consumers more options to fit their budget.

With a Php4,000 cheaper price, the Note 15 4G had to settle with a MediaTek Helio G200 Ultra processor. It also has an inferior IP65 dust and water resistance rating.

On the upside, it has a sharper 32-megapixel selfie camera. Everything else is identical.

There’s a sharp 200-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, Android 15-based HyperOS 2, a 120Hz AMOLED screen, and a 6,500mAh battery with 45W wired charging.

What makes the Redmi Note 15 Pro 4G different from the whole series is that it’s entirely Shopee exclusive. It is available in an 8GB/256GB model for Php14,999, the 12GB/256GB for Php15,999, and the 12GB/512GB for Php17,999.
