Razer just dropped a new microphone called the Seiren V3 Pro. It’s the first microphone from the company that supports both USB and XLR connections.
XLR is the connector type you see on professional mics used in radio stations and music studios. But those mics need extra gear, like a mixer or an audio interface, to talk to your computer. USB mics are much easier. You just plug them in, and they work.
With the Razer Seiren V3 Pro, Razer wants to serve both crowds. A beginner can start with the USB cable and get good sound right away. Later, if they want to get serious, they can buy the professional gear and switch over to the XLR port. The mic also has two USB-C ports, so you have options.
The company also packed some smart features inside the mic to help new users. One of the biggest problems for first-time streamers is that a good mic does not always sound good out of the box.
