Congress OKs bill for free WiFi, digital textbooks in universities

The House of Representatives has approved a bill requiring all colleges and universities to provide free Wi-Fi and digital learning materials to students and faculty. House Bill No. 9532 passed its third reading with 202 votes in favor and none against. The measure would create a National Academic Content Repository under CHED , in partnership with DICT and schools. This online library would contain digital textbooks, lecture videos, research papers, and other materials, all available for free nationwide. The bill also requires DICT and higher education institutions to provide campus-wide high-speed Wi-Fi at no cost. Rural and under-resourced campuses would be prioritized first. House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III said the bill aims to help students who cannot afford both textbooks and internet access. Amazon announces two new Tomb Raider games

Following a long break from solo adventures, two major new games in the Tomb Raider series were revealed at The Game Awards 2025.
