Weeks after releasing the first prepaid eSIM in the Philippines, Smart Communications continues to ramp up the local adoption of the technology by offering it via digital delivery.

Unlike the traditional physical SIM cards, eSIM is a digital product that you register to your device without any tangible item. Hence, there’s really no need for physical packaging and logistics.

With that, from now on, you can purchase a Smart Prepaid or Postpaid eSIM from the Smart Online Store and have it delivered to your email address instantly. No waiting for days, and as a bonus, it helps the environment by eliminating waste.

Once you purchase an eSIM from the Smart Online Store, you’ll receive an email containing a unique QR code, which you will scan on your eSIM-capable smartphone to activate. Then, complete the SIM registration process and you’re good to go.
