TECNO Spark Go 1 launched in the Philippines

TECNO Mobile’s latest entry-level smartphone, the TECNO Spark Go 1, has made its way to the Philippines. The TECNO Spark Go 1 is a 4G-only smartphone powered by a UNISOC T615 processor, which you can pair with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. TECNO claims the device can provide a “4 years plus lag-free” experience. It also has a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS display. Not the sharpest screen, but still managed to have a high 120Hz refresh rate that should make the interface and select apps feel smoother. The screen houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera in a punch-hole cutout, while the rear has an iPhone 15 -like camera layout for the single 13-megapixel sensor. The other lens is empty. It will ship with a power-efficient Android 14 Go Edition with the brand’s HiOS 14 interface on top. Weeks after releasing the first prepaid eSIM in the Philippines, Smart Communications continues to ramp up the local adoption of the technology by offering it via digital delivery.

Unlike the traditional physical SIM cards, eSIM is a digital product that you register to your device without any tangible item. Hence, there’s really no need for physical packaging and logistics.

With that, from now on, you can purchase a Smart Prepaid or Postpaid eSIM from the Smart Online Store and have it delivered to your email address instantly. No waiting for days, and as a bonus, it helps the environment by eliminating waste.

Once you purchase an eSIM from the Smart Online Store, you’ll receive an email containing a unique QR code, which you will scan on your eSIM-capable smartphone to activate. Then, complete the SIM registration process and you’re good to go.

Purchasing through the Smart Online Store is really convenient as it accepts different modes of payment like GCash, Maya, SPay, Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, and DragonPay.

The Smart eSIM has a price of Php99 on the online store and comes with up to 21GB of free data.
