Call of Duty : Black Ops 6 is launching on next week Friday, October 25. But can your PC run it? Max, HBO’s streaming service, is coming to PH on November 19

US-based streaming service Max (formerly HBO Max) is set to launch on November 19 in the Philippines.

Warner Bros. Discovery, the platform’s owner, announced through a press release that it will be available in the following Asian markets:

  • Philippines
  • Singapore
  • Indonesia
  • Hong Kong
  • Thailand
  • Taiwan
  • Malaysia

The move to enter the Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong markets is strategic and part of the company’s globalization initiative.

According to JB Perrette, CEO and President of Global Streaming & Games at Warner Bros. Discovery, with the addition of the abovementioned nations, Max is now available in over 72 markets, with more to come in 2025.

The brand-new streaming service will soon provide a different viewing experience and an extensive content library, competing with other popular streaming services in the country, such as Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime.

The streaming platform brings together a collection of powerful brands and content providers, including Warner Bros., Discovery, HBO, TLC, Cartoon Network, Animal Planet, Food Network, AFN, and Max Originals. 

Through Max, you will be able to watch their latest groundbreaking original series and iconic TV hits, such as Game of Thrones, House of Dragons, Friends, The Last of Us, The Penguin, The White Lotus, and Rick and Morty, as well as the new series Dune: Prophecy and the upcoming Harry Potter series.

You can also choose from the list of blockbuster movies, such as Dune: Part Two, Barbie, Wonka, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, the DC Universe, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings movie collections, and many more.

It will also cater to the kids’ and families’ viewing preferences through Cartoon Network and CARTOONITO, such as Adventure Time, We Bare Bears, and Looney Tunes.

Max is announced to come in three subscription plan tiers, which may vary per country: Mobile, Standard, and Ultimate.

  • Watch on more devices, including TVs
  • 100 downloads to watch on the go (limits apply)

The pricing plans will vary by country and will be available for subscription through Max.com and select partners. More details will be released in the upcoming weeks.
