OLED TVs last longer than LCD TVs — longevity test reveals

OLED panels are great. They offer possibly the best color quality and contrast. However, they are infamous for burn-in issues. This is why most people want to settle for LCD TVs. While the image quality is not as good, a rich history of consumer feedback proves they last longer and are more reliable. However, this extensive test from the website Rtings.com may be debunking what we thought we know. They used 102 TVs, playing a news channel that constantly shows a ticker bar at the bottom to test burn-in. They ran the test for 3 years at maximum brightness. The test confirms that burn-in is indeed an issue with OLED TVs. However, it also reveals that LCDs struggle with major issues after 18,000 hours of being used.
